Cruise deck plans
Picking the right cabin is the difference between a great cruise and a frustrating one. Our consultants know the quiet decks, the obstructed views, and the cabins to avoid.
Pick the right cabin before you book.
Cabin choice matters more than ship choice. A starboard balcony on Deck 9 mid-ship is a different holiday to an inside cabin near the laundry on Deck 4. Our consultants have sailed most of these ships and know which cabins to ask for and which to avoid.
How to read a deck plan
- Forward, mid-ship, aft. Mid-ship is the quietest ride; forward can pitch in swell; aft has the longest walk to most venues.
- Above and below. Look at what’s on the deck above and below your cabin. Above a nightclub or below a buffet is a noisy cabin.
- Connecting doors. If you’re travelling solo, ask for a cabin without a connecting door — less noise carry-through.
- Obstructed views. Some “ocean view” cabins look at lifeboats. The deck plan will show it; we’ll flag it.
