    Settle into The Ghan and enjoy lunch before choosing an Off Train Experience in Katherine, including a Nitmiluk Gorge cruise, Katherine Outback Experience or Cutta Cutta Caves. Return onboard for dinner as you continue towards Alice Springs. (L,D)

    The Ghan Expedition, Arrive Alice Springs

    Meet the Outback Spirit team at Alice Springs Rail Terminal and begin your Red Centre adventure with a town tour and lunch at a local eatery. Check into your hotel, followed by welcome drinks, a tour briefing and dinner. (B,L,D)

    Alice Springs

    Explore the West MacDonnell Ranges, visiting the spiritual sites of Simpsons Gap and Standley Chasm. Discover the desert’s unique wildlife at Alice Springs Desert Park before enjoying an outdoor BBQ and evening show under the stars. (B,L,D)

    Alice Springs to Kings Canyon

    Leave Alice Springs and travel through the West MacDonnell Ranges, stopping at Ellery Creek and Ormiston Gorge. Continue along the scenic Mereenie Loop 4WD track to Kings Canyon Resort for a two-night stay and dinner at Carmichael’s. (B,L,D)

    Kings Canyon – Watarrka National Park

    Explore Kings Canyon with a choice of the spectacular rim walk or a gentler canyon-floor walk. Optional helicopter flights are available before returning to the resort for lunch and leisure time. Common questions about this voyage

Standard of dress onboard the train:
It is your holiday and we want you to be comfortable, so smart casual attire is recommended. Warm clothes are recommended for evenings onboard the train, as the air-conditioning can be cool. It is recommended that guests pack a hat, sunscreen and comfortable walking shoes for off-train touring. Sensible shoes are advisable for walking between carriages. 
Cabins onboard the train:
Single Gold Cabins - compact sleeper cabin featuring a bed that converts to a seat by day, private vanity, with shared shower/toilet facilities located at the end of the carriage.
Luggage Allowance:
Guests should bring an overnight bag to their cabin containing everything needed for the journey. Each guest travelling is entitled to checked in luggage, however checked in luggage cannot be accessed during the journey. In Gold Service, guests are allowed 2 bags x 30kg and guests travelling in Platinum Service are allowed 3 bags x 30kg.
