   Welcome to Buenos Aires, where you’ll stay overnight. Perhaps plan to spend some time in the city, known as the ‘Paris of South America.’ Resplendent with Belle Époque buildings, sidewalk cafes and green spaces, there is the fiery passion of Latin America – a collective love for football, flame-cooked meats (asado) and the tango.
   
   Some of the highlights are La Boca, a colourful, creative mecca with an art walk, and San Telmo, a former aristocratic neighbourhood abandoned during a 19th-century epidemic. Mansions were turned into conventillos (shared housing), boutique hotels, antique shops, and tango clubs, exuding a captivating bohemian vibe.

   Buenos Aires > Ushuaia, Argentina

   Board an included flight from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia, the gateway to Antarctica and the world’s southernmost city, nestled on the rugged shores of Tierra del Fuego.    Falkland Islands

   Remote and untouched, the Falkland Islands offer a breathtaking sanctuary for wildlife enthusiasts. Home to the world’s largest gentoo penguin population, watch as they waddle along the shores, nesting and interacting in their natural environment.
   
   Spot black-browed albatrosses soaring above and keep an eye out for Cobb’s wren and the Falkland flightless steamer duck, two rare species found only here. Your specialist polar Discovery Team – geologists, historians, ornithologists, marine biologists, and glaciologists – will share deep insights into this remarkable ecosystem.

   Scenic Discovery:
   Daily experiences during your Expedition Voyage may include cruising on Zodiacs, landing ashore to view vast penguin rookeries, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, soaring above in the helicopter^ and diving below in the submersible^.

   Weather permitting, visit the capital of the Falkland Islands, Stanley. This charming settlement offers a unique British outpost feel. Visit local shops, see the Christ Church Cathedral with its whalebone arch, or share a pint at an English pub.

    The Observation Lounge and Terrace occupies a commanding position at the bow of the yacht on Deck 5 and is the perfect place for a warm specialty tea or coffee whilst taking in the vistas. During the day, the theatre comes alive with captivating lectures from your polar Discovery Team.     Slide open the floor-to-ceiling doors of your verandah suite to reveal icebergs sculpted by nature and glacial mountains rising thousands of metres from the ocean. Witness the extraordinary wildlife – graceful seals, breaching whales and thriving penguin colonies. Antarctica is a birdwatcher&39;s delight, home to a variety of species, so keep your eyes peeled for wandering albatrosses, shearwaters, giant petrels and more.

Your dedicated Discovery Team will guide you as you trek across the awe-inspiring Antarctic wilderness, and encounter the adorable chinstrap, Adélie, and gentoo penguins that inhabit this remarkable region.

    Scenic Discovery:
    Enjoy daily Discovery Excursions (weather and ice permitting), such as Zodiac cruises around ice formations, stepping ashore to view vast penguin rookeries and seals. Kayak or stand-up paddleboard past icebergs and hear the ice cracking and whales feeding below. Soar above the horizon in one of two helicopters^ on board, or dive below the surface in the submersible^ for optional further discovery.

    Various species of penguins can be found in the Antarctic and the sub-Antarctic region, including Adélie, Chinstrap, Gentoo, and the very rare Emperor.     Ushuaia > Buenos Aires, Argentina

    This morning, bid farewell to your Scenic Eclipse crew and fellow guests as your extraordinary journey comes to an end. After a final indulgent breakfast on board, disembark in Ushuaia and board your flight to Buenos Aires, carrying with you memories that will inspire wonder for years to come.
